Topographic and Land Surveys
Topographic surveys are carried out using Leica electronic total stations to capture 3D observation data on site. This data is then processed in LSS surveying software to produce a Digital Terrain Model. The DTM allows contours, volumes and sections to be produced to the Client’s specification. The survey output can be provided in various forms but in many cases the final information is provided in AutoCad format for design purposes.

GPS Surveying
GPS Land Surveying provides one of the most modern and up to date surveying techniques available. SV Surveying Ltd presently uses two Leica Viva GS12 Smartrover and one Leica GPS Systems 530. This equipment has been designed to give the performance in accuracy and reliability that the survey and construction industry demands in the UK.
Boundary and Land Registry Verification and Registration
This survey will help you confirm your legal ownership on site and can assist in any legal case. We are qualified to be a professional witness should this be necessary. A boundary survey will settle a dispute between two or more parties who disagree on ownership or liabilities of the land. We can also set out and divide land ownership of parcels of land if required.
Setting Out / Civil Engineering
Setting out is the technical process of which co-ordinates are set out on site with a specified material (normally a stake or fino nail) This will mark out control points and building points for your construction team to build from. All of our setting out engineers are CSCS qualified and work to RICS standards. We can set out piles, foundations, boundaries, highways and other key features.
Green Field Survey
The surveys are carried out on small sites using Leica Total Station Equipment and on large open areas using Leica GPS Equipment. They are carried out to either our own high specification or that as specified by our clients.
Development Land Survey
Brown field sites are being increasingly redeveloped after decades of industrial use. An accurate survey of a Brownfield site can save valuable time and money during the design stage.
Highway Surveys
Detailed highway surveys are invaluable to the highway engineer. All our surveys are collected in 3D with a high point density and can easily be imported into most design software.
