Latest News June 2009 20 Years in the Surveying Business = 20% Discount This year we are celebrating our 20th year in the surveying industry and what a year to pick. We thought we had seen the last of the big recessions in the 90's but alas the boom and bust mentality still seems to guide the powers that be. Enough of that, to celebrate our 20th year we are giving you 20% off your final invoice. How do I get that I hear you say. Light at the end of the Long Tunnel The market place remains very tight with the lack of money flow in the economy still being one of the main reasons for the slow down in the construction industry. To help out and keep our survey teams on the road we have reduced the price of our survey day rate to £325 per day. We hope this will help our clients during these difficult times. The standard rate for measured building surveys has also been reduced to 85p per sq m. We always provide fixed prices for work so send us an email with your details and we will price accordingly. In the last 2 years our client base has increased dramatically with turnover of the company almost doubling. However the recent downturn in the construction / housing market is likely to effect our industry for some months to come. As a result the company has reduced its staff by one and now employs 5 survey staff. This staff reduction was achieved voluntarily and places the company in a secure position for the foreseeable future. We are able to provide 2 survey teams using traditional TPS Total Station Equipment plus 2 GPS teams using Leica 530 GPS systems. Our final surveyor works in the main on measured surveys using the MBS suite of software. Although our Land Surveyors do have specialist rolls in the company they have all trained on the various types of equipment and are able are to carry out either Topographic Surveys or Measured Building Surveys as required by our clients. Company Introduction SV Surveying Ltd established in October 1988 originally named SV Land Surveying Ltd was formed to provide a complete Topographic Land Survey + Computer Modeling service to clients large and small. The company moved to the midlands in 1992 and is now owned and run by Steve Roberts operating from a central office in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire covering the whole of the U.K. and abroad. We undertake Topographic Land Surveys and Measured Building Surveys for Local Authorities, Architects, Consulting Engineers, House builders, and Council Departments. We have established a respect in the Industry for producing surveys of the highest quality. Our Measured Building Surveys are carried out, using hand-held computers and laser distance measurers to produce self-checking plans before we leave site, so reducing the chance of errors and speeding-up the office drawing work.
